Florian Heilmeyer
Florian is a writer, editor, and curator-at-large, trying to make visible the processes and forces that (sometimes) lead to buildings and/or architecture. He has been based primarily in Berlin since 1978, where he trained as an architect at the TU Berlin. Since then he has been involved in numerous international exhibition and publication projects like Urban Arts Ruhr, International Building Exhibition (IBA) Thrüingen, Shrinking Cities, Talking Cities, WestArch, or Reduce Reuse Recycle. He is writing for various magazines, newspapers, books and catalogues, both local and international. He was part of the team that developed the concept for the online architecture magazine uncube and was the magazine’s first editor-in-chief until 2013. He is currently contributing editor and Berlin/Germany correspondent for arkitektur N (Norway), Metropolis (US) and Werk, Bauen, Wohnen (Switzerland).
